I wanted to take a little time to say thank you to my son and his friends who are seniors on the Kewaunee football team. Our season came to an end after a painful loss in the playoffs therefore putting to an end their time of playing football in Kewaunee. I have had the time of my life watching you boys play the game of football through your high school career and I couldn’t be happier or more proud of all that you guys have accomplished. While you were never the biggest or the fastest guys on the field, you boys stuck together and played with more heart than the majority of the teams that you played against and your records over the years prove that! (One game away from a state championship!!) You guys not only left it all out there every game and played like champions but you did it with class and good sportsmanship. I tip my hat to all of the coaches you have had over the years that taught you guys first and foremost, good sportsmanship. On an even more important note, you are all an exceptional group of young men. I feel blessed that I get to watch you guys grow up and become the respectful, honest, successful young men that you are and I have no doubt that wherever life’s paths take you guys from here, you will be happy and successful. I am going to really miss Friday night football and all of the excitement it brought; I will miss hanging out pacing the sidelines with the group of diehard dads that I spent every Friday night with and most of all I will miss cheering for this great group of young men giving everything that they have. You guys are an inspiration. Good luck in the future to the Kewaunee football team and class of 2015 and again, THANK YOU BOYS for all of the unforgettable memories.
